 BCPS Schedule Update

Baltimore County is making changes to upcoming academic calendars in response to the governor's executive order that all but forced local districts to start school after Labor Day and end by June 15. District officials hoped the math makes sense when it comes to adjusting the calendar to start school on Sept. 5, 2017, and end classes on June 15, 2018. It has become a hot topic around the state over how early students should head back to the classroom after summer break. Until now, spring break, at least in Baltimore County, has never really been a part of the conversation. The 2018 calendar shortens spring break to just two days, Good Friday, March 30, and April 2, the Monday after Easter.
